The Gmina Iwonicz-Zdrój is an urban-and-rural municipality in the Powiat Krośnieński of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the spa town of the same name with around 1800 inhabitants (2017).
geography
The municipality is located in the south-east of Poland, about ten kilometers north of the state border between Poland and Slovakia in the Low Beskids .
history
The spa town of Iwonicz-Zdroj received the in 1973 city law . From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Krosno Voivodeship .
structure
The urban-and-rural community Iwonicz-Zdrój has an area of 45.5 km², on which about 11,000 people live. In addition to the spa town that gives it its name , the villages of Iwonicz , Lubatowa and Lubatówka belong to the municipality.
