Bilky ( Ukrainian Білки ; Russian Белки Belki , Slovak Bílky , Hungarian Bilke ) is a village in the center of the Ukrainian Zakarpattia Oblast with about 8,000 inhabitants.

The village, first mentioned in writing in 1245, is on the banks of the Borschawa and on the territorial road T-07-19 between the Rajonzentrum Irschawa in the west and Dowhe in the east. The place has a train station on the narrow gauge network Berehowe .

Bilky is one of the most populous villages in Ukraine and the only town in the 45.54 km district of the same name in Irshava district .

Personalities

On July 28, 1899, the Ukrainian circus artist, athlete, wrestler, boxer and wrestler Iwan Firzak ( Іван Федорович Фірцак ), who was also known to be the strongest man in the world, was born here, who also died here on November 10, 1970.
