Bill Bratton
Bill Bratton (actually William Joseph Bratton ; born October 6, 1947 in Dorchester , Boston ) was police chief of New York City from 1994 to 1996 and 2014 to 2016 .
He is Commander of the Orders of the British Empire .
The Republican Mayor of New York, who has been in office since January 1, 1994 , Rudolph Giuliani , appointed William Bratton as head of the city police on January 10, 1994 and expected him to adopt a zero-tolerance strategy , including minor offenses, e.g. B. listening to music too loud in public, be prosecuted by the police.
