Bill Metoyer

Bill Metoyer (* 1960 ) is an American music producer .

Career

Metoyer was influenced in its early years by the records of Motown and artists such as Black Sabbath and The Beatles . Inspired by Queens A Night at the Opera , he began to be interested in the production of an album. After graduating from high school , he spent a few semesters in college but did not complete it.

Then in 1978 he enrolled at the University of Sound Arts in Hollywood . A year later he became assistant sound engineer and shortly thereafter chief sound engineer at Track Record in Hollywood. From 1983 to 1987 he was the vice president and producer of Metal Blade Records . He then worked as an independent producer for various labels and founded his own label with Skull Seven Productions in 1995. Since 1997 he has been working for Metal Blade Records again, taking the position of A&R Director.
