Birgit Schweiger (born October 22, 1970 in Ried im Innkreis ) is an Austrian artist.

From 2005 - 2006 studied with Dietmar Brehm at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz as well as with other renowned artists such as Anton Petz and Xenia Hausner . She lives and works as a freelance artist in Lichtenberg (Upper Austria) near Linz and takes part in national and international exhibitions. She is a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists Upper Austria . Works by Birgit Schweiger are in the art collection of the State of Upper Austria, the Museum Angerlehner Thalheim near Wels and in private collections.

Birgit Schweiger works with her own photo material and sketches from forays into nature and its surroundings. Her work, mainly acrylic and oil painting, but also watercolors and drawings.
