Birnbaum is an Austrian village in the municipality of Lesachtal in Carinthia .

Until January 1, 1973, Birnbaum was an independent municipality, which was merged with the neighboring municipalities of Liesing im Lesachtal , Maria Luggau and Sankt Lorenzen to form the new Lesachtal municipality on this date .

The streudorf Birnbaum in the Lesachtal has 58 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).
