The nature reserve Bischofswaldung with Stedtlinger Moor is located in the municipality of Rhönblick in the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen in Thuringia . It extends west of Stedtlingen and north of Willmars , a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Rhön-Grabfeld .

The state border with Bavaria runs along the western and southern edge of the area . The Sülze flows through the area , while the Schmerbach and Elmbach rivers flow on the western edge .

The 519.6 ha area with NSG no. 255 was placed under nature protection in 1990.
