The Sülze is a 12.4 km long left tributary of the Werra southwest of Meiningen in Thuringia . It rises in about 400 m height southeast of the 639 meter high Neuberg in the municipality of Rhönblick near Stedtlingen and is u. a. fed from the Petersee Moor to the northwest .
The stream initially flows between Hermannsfeld and Haselbach through to Sülzfeld . It meanders over 6.8 km through Sülzfelder and Niedersülzfelder Flur before flowing over the district of Meiningen past the Stillhof and flowing below Untermaßfeld into the Werra . Between Sülzfeld and the confluence with the Werra, a section of the B 19 ran in the Sülze valley, which was downgraded to a state road in 2005.
The stream feeds the ponds near Untermaßfeld with its water, which are managed by the local fish farm. The stream in the Sülzfeld and Meiningen districts is also managed by the Untermaßfeld fish farmers.
