The diocese of Adilabad ( Latin Dioecesis Adilabadensis ) is a diocese of the Syro-Malabar Church, united with the Roman Catholic Church, with its seat in Adilabad in India . The first local ordinary was Joseph Kunnath CMI from 1999 to 2015 .

history

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius consulendum on June 23, 1999 from cession of territory to the Chanda eparchy and made it subject to the Archdiocese of Hyderabad as a suffragan diocese .
