The Bistum Banmaw ( lat. : Dioecesis Banmavensis ) is an in Myanmar preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Banmaw .

history

The diocese of Banmaw was on August 28, 2006 by Pope Benedict XVI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Venerabiles Fratres from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Myitkyina and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Mandalay as a suffragan . First Bishop was Raymond Sumlut Gam .
