The diocese of Baoding ( lat. : Dioecesis Paotimensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Baoding .

history

The diocese of Baoding was established on February 14, 1910 by Pope Pius X. with the Apostolic Constitution Nobis in sublimi from the cession of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate North Chi-li as Apostolic Vicariate Central Chi-Li . The Apostolic Vicariate Central Chi-Li gave on April 15, 1924 parts of its territory to establish the Apostolic Prefecture Lixian . On December 3, 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate Central Chi-Li was renamed the Apostolic Vicariate Baoding . The Apostolic Vicariate of Baoding gave up parts of its territory on May 25, 1929 to establish the Mission sui juris Yixian .

The Apostolic Vicariate Baoding was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Beijing as a suffragan .
