The diocese of Chengde is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Chengde .

history

The Diocese of Chengde was established on September 22, 2018 by Pope Francis from ceding territories from the Dioceses of Chifeng and Jinzhou and made subordinate to the Archdiocese of Beijing as a suffragan . In addition, Joseph Guo Jincai was recognized as bishop of this diocese after he had been ordained as bishop of the People's Church without permission from the Vatican .
