The Diocese of Gbarnga ( Latin Dioecesis Gbarngana , English Diocese of Gbarnga ) is in Liberia situated Roman Catholic Diocese with headquarters in Gbarnga . It includes the counties of Bong , Lofa and Nimba .
history
Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution De Monroviensi on November 17, 1986 from cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Monrovia , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese.
The diocese of Cape Palmas has repeatedly been directly involved in the effects of the military coup, dictatorship and civil war.
