The Diocese of Jiangmen ( lat. : Dioecesis Chiammenensis ) is in the People's Republic of China Located Roman Catholic diocese based in Jiangmen .

history

The diocese of Jiangmen was founded on January 31, 1924 by Pope Pius XI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Ut aucto from cessions of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate Shantou as Apostolic Prefecture Jiangmen . On February 3, 1927, the Jiangmen Apostolic Prefecture was founded by Pius XI. raised to the apostolic vicariate .

The Apostolic Vicariate Jiangmen was on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Canton as a suffragan .
