The diocese Lira ( Latin Dioecesis Lirensis ) is a bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church located in Uganda .
history
The diocese Lira, based in Lira in Uganda, was founded on July 12, 1968 by Pope Paul VI. formed from parts of the Gulu diocese . His bishop has been Sanctus Lino Wanok since November 2018 . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Gulu as a suffragan .
