The Roman Catholic Diocese of Mbujimayi ( lat. : Dioecesis Mbugimayensis ) is in the Democratic Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Mbuji-Mayi .

history

The diocese Mbujimayi was established in 1963 from the cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Luluabourg as the Apostolic Administratur Mbuji-Mayi . On May 3, 1966, the Apostolic Administratur Mbuji-Mayi was by Pope Paul VI. raised to the diocese.

The diocese of Mbujimayi is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Kananga as a suffragan .
