The Diocese of St Helena is a diocese within the Anglican Church of Southern Africa . It was built in 1859 and includes, in addition to the eponymous island , the island of Ascension . Tristan da Cunha was one of them until 1960, but this island is now part of the Cape Town diocese .
The seat of the bishop is in the St. Paul’s district . Dale Arthur Bowers has served as Bishop since September 2018 ; he is the 16th holder of this office.

The diocese is now divided into four parishes with a total of 13 parishes and 12 churches:

- St. Martin-in-the-Hills, Thompson's Hill
- St. Paul's Cathedral , St. Paul's district , also the cathedral of the diocese

- St. James Church , Jamestown, the oldest Anglican church in the southern hemisphere
- St. John's, Upper Jamestown

- St. Michael's, Rupert's Valley

- Levelwood Parish, Levelwood , does not have its own church building
