Bita  ( Hungarian  and  German Bita ) is a village in the Reci municipality in  Covasna County  in  Romania .

location

Bita is located 14 km southwest of  Sfântu Gheorghe  in Transylvania. The Râul Negru (Hungarian Feketeügy) river flows past Bita .

history

In the 19th century the village was populated by Szeklern people. Initially, Bita belonged to Oderhellen County and later to Háromszék County .

population

In 2002, 305 people lived in Bita, all of them Hungarians . In the 2011 census, 285 inhabitants were registered.
