Björn Gögge

Björn Gögge (born October 2, 1991 in Würselen ) is a German musician, author and slam poet .

Life

After passing the Abitur at the Heilig-Geist-Gymnasium in Broich , he studied English, history and philosophy at the University of Duisburg-Essen . Gögge lives and works in Berlin .

music

After working as a bassist with the hardcore / southern rock band Lavatch, among others , Gögge's first piano album Oktaves was released in December 2015 , which can be stylistically assigned to neo-classical music . Half a year later, in May 2016, the EP high / low was released . In September 2017 he won the newcomer competition for the sampler Music Made in Krefeld , the corresponding publication with 23 contributions (including Gögges Á Trois ) from the Krefeld music scene appeared in November of the same year. In the fall of 2018, his album Cracau was released on the Ton Zonen Records label , for which he was inspired by paintings and music. Cracau was released on CD and in a limited edition on vinyl . In 2019 the EP Epos followed , which is more likely to be assigned to the genre of electronica , as well as the subsequent single Encore , which was released in the same year.

Gögge has been successfully performing on poetry slam stages since 2013 . In 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 he managed to reach the finals of the North Rhine-Westphalian championships. In August 2016, Gögge won the poetry slam at the MS Dockville Festival in Hamburg in front of several thousand spectators. Together with Rainer Holl , Gögge appeared as the Beard & Breakfast slam team . His texts have appeared in various anthologies and in the literary machine . Gögge also appears as a moderator of literary and cultural events. As a comedy writer, he wrote for the funk format Walulis and the stand-up program How to Human? by Jan Philipp Zymny with.
