Tonzone Records is a German independent label from Krefeld founded in 2012 by Dirk Raupach . It specializes primarily in publications in the Krautrock , Stoner and Psychedelic Rock areas. At the same time as the label, Raupach runs an online shop of the same name which, in addition to its own program, initially also had records from other labels' assortments available.

The most important artists of the label include Knall , The Spacelords , Kalamata, Vespero and Les Lekin. Also Sampler with contributions from artists such as Electric Orange , Ax Genrich and Space Debris appeared on Tonzonen Records.

All publications appear mostly as colored vinyl and are, despite or perhaps because of the limited numbers, also noticed and reviewed internationally. The publications (records / CDs) are only pressed in Germany. Since 2017, the label has had a worldwide distribution with H'Art / Bertus. In February 2020 the label switched to the Hamburg-based distributor Soulfood. Founder Raupach himself is active in the space rock / neo-krautrock band Sounds Of New Soma , together with the musician Alexander Djelassi. Their album Beyond The Acid Dream was the label's first release. Sounds Of New Soma released six albums by 2020 via Ton Zonen Records.

The label has signed a band with the Cologne band Mouth , which became known in independent circles through the album "Vortex" released via Blunoise Records . The move to Ton Zonen Records took place after the death of Blunoise founder Guido Lucas . Mouth is also the first sound zone band to publish a contribution to the annual Record Store Day .
