The Bjorjoljoch ( yakut. Бөрөлөөх (Börölööch), Russian Бёрёлёх , also Berelech ; in the lower reaches Jelon ; Russian Елонь ) is a 754 km long left tributary of the Indigirka in Eastern Siberia ( Russia , Asia ).
The Bjorjoljoch occurs in about 160 m altitude on the southern edge of the Jana-Indigirka lowlands from the small tributaries Tschamyga-Okatyn and Kemelkan-Okat which originated in here almost 900 m high Polousnyrücken have. It then flows through the Jana Indigirka lowlands first in a northerly direction and later in an easterly direction, branching into a multitude of arms in the lower reaches. Finally, in the area of the delta of the mouth of the Indigirka , the river also flows with several arms into its left arm, Russko-Ustjinskaja (at a height of 1 m ).
The catchment area of Bjorjoljoch covers 17,000 km². Near the mouth of the river, the main arm of the river is almost 200 meters wide and 3.5 meters deep; the flow velocity is 0.3 m / s. The main tributaries are Uesse-Kyllach , Ulachan-Kyllach (also Kyllach or Tiit ), Sygannach and Ary-Mas (all from the right). In the catchment area of Bjorjoljoch there are more than 9000 lakes with a total area of 1610 km².
In winter the Bjorjoljoch freezes to the bottom; in July and August it leads to high water .
The Bjorjoljoch flows along its entire length through the territory of the Allaichowski Ulus ( Rajons ) of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) . Below the mouth of the Bjorjoljoch lies the village of Russkoye Ustye , on the middle reaches the village of Chkalov .
