Blaž Zupančič

Blaž Zupančič (born April 6, 1995 ) is a Slovenian shot putter .

Athletic career

Blaž Zupančič gained his first international experience in 2013 at the Junior European Championships in Rieti , where he finished twelfth with a width of 17.82 m with the 6 kg ball. The following year he did not succeed at the Junior World Championships in Eugene and also at the U23 European Championships in 2015 in Tallinn , he was eliminated with 17.09 m in the qualification. Two years later he reached the final of the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz , where he reached eleventh place with 18.33 m. In 2018 he took part in the European Championships in Berlin for the first time, but 18.83 m was not enough for a final.

In 2015 and 2017, as well as in 2019 and 2020 , Zupančič was the Slovenian champion in the shot put outdoors and in 2019 also indoors.
