action

Ambitious police trainee Jenny Yeung, despite failing her final exam, has the opportunity to excel on a secret undercover assignment in Hong Kong . Disguised as a hostess , she lures the overly cautious criminal and gun smuggler Danny Tong, a mainland Chinese of Vietnamese descent, into a trap. She is supported in this by the sleazy pimp Jackie Hong, who maintains good relations with the wanted man and betrays him for money and a Canadian passport. The daring coup succeeds, even if Jenny's cover is blown. The heavily armed Tong - in the meantime he took Jenny and Jackie hostage - is overpowered by a task force. When arrested, he promises to take revenge on the young investigator.

With the help of followers, Tong managed a sensational escape a little later. He ambushes the unsuspecting Jenny in her apartment and forces her to shoot her beloved uncle. Subsequently , the villain abuses and rapes the defenseless woman. The convict then flees to the People's Republic of China . While the humiliated Jenny is recovering from her ordeal, V-Mann Jackie is betrayed against an agreement. He does not receive a Canadian passport, only a "worthless" Cross of Merit.

Jenny seeks revenge. She asks Jackie for help, which at first bitterly refuses. Pressed to work together, the two eventually travel to China, Jackie's homeland. There they quickly meet Tong, who in turn starts the merciless hunt for his traitors. Police Captain Yu saves the lives of the vengeful visitors several times. However, Tong is becoming more and more ruthless, and the police become his avowed enemy. He is putting the authorities under pressure and extorting a payment of several million dollars. Jenny and Jackie are supposed to serve as money messengers for the villain. He leads the two of them into a multi-story department store, which falls into the hands of his armed men. A bomb is accidentally activated; Combat operations follow. Ultimately, there is a huge explosion . In the end, the injured Tong tries to escape from the crime scene undetected. Jackie discovers the fugitive, but is struck down by him a little later. Jenny reacts with presence of mind and kills Tong. In the last scene, the seriously wounded Jackie succumbs to his injuries.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films described the action film as an “extremely hollow story, which is exhausted in the stringing together of countless firefights” . In addition, one criticized the “miserably staged action sequences” as well as the “thoughtlessness of the filmmakers” for the “natural occurrence” of vigilante justice.
