The Black Sturgeon River is a tributary of Lake Superior in the Thunder Bay District in the Canadian province of Ontario .
The river has its origin in Black Sturgeon Lake, southwest of Lake Nipigon . It flows in a southerly direction and flows 20 south-southwest of Nipigon into Black Bay , a bay in Lake Superior. The Black Sturgeon River Provincial Park extends above the bridge of the Trans-Canada Highway ( Ontario Highway 11 ) over the upper and middle reaches of the Black Sturgeon River.
The Black Sturgeon River has a length of 72 km. On this route he overcomes a height of 67 m.
