The Blandina is a sailing dinghy .

history

The Blandina was built from around 1965 to 1975 and is still a popular, if now rare, recreational sailboat. It was originally built by the Frenzel company ( Aulendorf ). From around 1975 to 1980 it was sold as an agate dinghy by the Ski-Bo company ( Saulgau ) .

hull

The hull is made of GRP . There is storage space in the bow area . The blandina has a sword for stabilization. Originally this is made of ship steel ( ballast sword ), in later versions made of GRP.

Rig, sails

The rig is made of aluminum. The mast is stabilized by steel shrouds and the forestay . A trapezoidal device for the bow is also possible, but is not fitted as standard. In addition to a mainsail, the dinghy has a jib or a genoa .

Can be sailed well from 1 to 5 Bft .

Regatta and races

The Blandina does not have a yardstick number and is rarely found in regattas due to its rarity . According to the 2008 DSV yardstick table, the agate dinghy has the number 121.
