The name of Blasweiler goes back to a development in the Merovingian expansion period. In the year 992 the place was first handed down as a pale villa . In 1301 Theoderich von Kempenich gave his own property to the Count of Luxembourg as a fief . Blasweiler belonged to the Kempenich lordship and came with this to Kurtrier .
In 1938, Blasweiler and Nieder- and Oberheckenbach, Beilstein, Cassel, Fronrath and Watzel were evacuated when the Ahrbrück air force training area was laid out . After 1945 the places were repopulated. In 1987 Blasweiler had 70 inhabitants.
