Blinky Bill is an Australian cartoon series for children by Yoram Gross about a little koala who goes on numerous adventures with his friends. It is based on the books of the same name by Dorothy Wall . In Germany it was first broadcast on Das Erste in September 1994 . This was followed by further broadcasts of the series in the various third programs of the ARD and later also in KiKA . The series also ran in the Käpt'n Blaubär Club .

Blinky Bill is based on the books by the Australian writer Dorothy Wall from the 1930s . The original book titles are Blinky Bill , Blinky Bill and Nutsy, and Blinky Bill Grows Up .
Initially, the cartoon Blinky Bill: The Mischievous Koala was made in 1990 , directed and based on the book by Yoram Gross . The series followed in 1993. In contrast to the series, where the backgrounds are drawn, you see real landscapes in the film. When the character emerged as an animated film character in the early 1990s, Blinky Bill became world famous.
In addition to the series, there are two feature films about the character Blinky Bill: Blinky Bill's White Christmas and Blinky Bill .
