The Käpt'n Blaubär Club was a children's program of the WDR , which was broadcast from 1993 to 2001 in the first , later on various broadcast dates also in the third programs of the ARD and in the KiKA . The basis for the show was the puppet series Käpt'n Blaubärs Seemannsgarn , which is part of the show with the mouse .

In addition to the main characters Käpt'n Blaubär ( Wolfgang Völz ) and Hein Blöd ( Edgar Hoppe ), the bears yellow, green and pink as well as the flute and the vegetarian carnivorous flower Karin ( Edith Hancke ) also played an important role. The only (real) people in the show from 1993 to 1995 were the ordinary seaman Bille ( Sybille Waury ), then Anke ( Mirjam Köfer ), who both also took on the role of moderator. Later other well-known actors and comedians such as Dirk Bach , Bastian Pastewka , Guildo Horn and Anke Engelke were guests on the show.

In addition to the stories with Käpt'n Blaubär, various children's series such as Die Dinos , DuckTales and Ernest, the Vampire were shown.

On April 14, 2001 the show was canceled for the time being and replaced in 2002 by the successor Blaubär und Blöd .
