Blood Tsunami is a Norwegian thrash metal band from Oslo , which was founded in 2004. Their name goes back to the song Drenched in Blood by the also Norwegian band Turbonegro .
history
Blood Tsunami was created in 2004 by Peter “Pete Evil” Michael Kolstad Vegem (electric guitar, vocals), Jørgen “Jay” Nordlie (drums), Riff Randall (electric bass) and Kristoffer “Dor Amazon” Sørensen (electric guitar , Backing song). In the same year they recorded their first demo Blood All Over . They held their first gig on August 24, 2004 in support of the band Entombed . Afterwards they support the death metal band Deicide . After a year Nordlie and Randall were replaced: Peter "Bosse" Boström, who previously played with Vegem in the band Hellride , took over the position of bassist, and Bård G. "Faust" Eithun (ex-Stigma Diabolicum / Thorns , ex- Emperor , Aborym , Scum ) became the new drummer.
With the changed line-up, the band entered the Lion Heart Studios in Oslo in July 2005 to record their second demo. She then played other concerts. In September 2006, the band went back to Lion Heart Studios to record their first studio album. The album Thrash Metal was released on March 19, 2007 via Nocturnal Art Productions and Candlelight Records . Afterwards Blood Tsunami went on tour with bands like Zyklon , Dead Beyond Buried , Evile and Satyricon . The band also played shows with Dimmu Borgir , Insense , Man Must Die and Origin .
In autumn 2008 she recorded her second album Grand Feast for Vultures at Lion Heart Studios , which was released in Europe on April 27 and in the USA in May 2009.

Blood Tsunami leans their music on the 1980s Thrash Metal from the San Francisco Bay Area . It is compared to bands like Exodus and Destruction . In the second album, the band also let influences from Black Metal and New Wave of British Heavy Metal flow.
