Bloodthirst ( English for blood thirst ) is the seventh studio album by the US death metal band Cannibal Corpse .

History of origin

It is the first studio album that was no longer created in Morrisound Recordings Studios in Tampa , Florida . It was recorded at Village Productions Studio in Tornillo, Texas.

There are two covers for the CD : the original version, in which a winged being tears up a person, and the censored version, which shows a similarly abstract being on a mountain of bones.

successes

Bloodthirst debuted at number 32 on the Billboard Heatseakers charts in release week. The German magazine Rock Hard chose the album as number 7 of the "25 most important death metal albums of all time".
