Blumenried belongs to the Holzstetten settlement group and is part of the Upper Swabian municipality of Eggenthal in the Ostallgäu district in Bavaria .

The hamlet is west of Eggenthal.
history
The small hamlet first appeared in documents in 1505 as belonging to the rule of Stein. After their division, two houses from Blumenried and the surrounding towns came to the Kempten Monastery under Prince Abbot Engelbert von Syrgenstein in 1749 . Another three houses belonged to the Barons von Echenbruck, one house belonged to the Irsee Monastery . The desertification was in 1801, in 1809 there were still six houses in the village.
Architectural monuments
In the center of the village there is a small Marienkapelle from the second half of the 18th century, which is a listed building.
