Stehlings belongs to the Holzstetten settlement group and is a district of the Swabian municipality of Eggenthal in the Ostallgäu district in Bavaria .

The village is west of Eggenthal.
history
The village belonged to the Ronsberg rule of Stein until the 18th century. After its division, it came with the surrounding villages in 1749 to the Kempten Monastery under Prince Abbot Engelbert von Syrgenstein .
The place name first appeared in 1641 as zum Stehlin in documents. In 1809 the place appears as Stehlen , in the cadastral plan of 1830 as Stehlin , and in 1864 as Stehlings . Unlike the surrounding hamlets and villages, Stehlings used to belong to the Unteregg parish .
