Charles "Bo" Outlaw (born April 13, 1971 in San Antonio , Texas ) is a retired American basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) between 1994 and 2007 . In his total of 914 missions Outlaw scored around 5.4 points and 4.9 rebounds on average.

Career

Despite good performance at college, the officially 2.03 meter tall indoor player was not considered in the 1993 NBA draft . After going through the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), Outlaw was signed by the Los Angeles Clippers in February of the following year .

After three years he moved to Orlando Magic . For the team from Florida he was active for a total of 8 seasons; initially from 1997 to 2002, then again from 2005 until he retired in 2007.

Outlaw was known for his good athleticism and defensive work, but also for his inadequate free throw rate , which was only around 52% on average for his career.

Trivia

In the service of the Orlando Magic Outlaw scored two triple doubles , one of them in March 2000 against the Boston Celtics . After the win, he posted 10 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. To reach this mark, Outlaw only needed four attempts to throw them from the field, all of which he sank. 2 more free throws (with 4 attempts) were added. On average, players who score a triple-double need 17 field throws. Outlaw himself, who is reluctant to define himself through personal statistics, answered laconically when asked by journalists about one of his triple doubles: “A triple-double? Isn't that some kind of hamburger meal? Three patties and two layers of cheese? "
