The Bockhorner Bach in the north of Ostbevern is a right tributary of the Eltingmühlenbach in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony , Germany . In the Lower Saxony section, the river is called Dümmer Bach .
geography
The Bockhorner Bach rises about 3.3 km north of Glandorf and about 3.1 km south-southeast of Lienen at an altitude of 76 m above sea level. NN . It flows primarily to the southwest and after a short run it passes the border with Lower Saxony. After the stream has flowed past in the north of Schwege , it crosses the border again and flows a little later at 53 m above sea level. NN in the Eltingmühlenbach , which is called Aa in this section . The mouth is about 4 km northeast of Ostbevern .
On its 11.7 km long path, the stream overcomes a height difference of 23 m, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 2 ‰. Several short tributaries flow into the stream. A notable tributary is the 1.5 km long Imhorster Bach . The catchment area is 29.818 km².
