Bodo Jopp (born November 12, 1952 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper . He played two Bundesliga games for VfB Stuttgart in 1971 and 1973 .
career
Coming from VfR Heilbronn to the youth of VfB Stuttgart in 1969, the multiple Württemberg youth selection player confirmed his talent at VfB. The 1.89 m tall, trained businessman was already employed in the club's licensed team during the 1970/71 season. He played his first Bundesliga game at the age of 18 on February 27, 1971, when he was substituted on for injured goalkeeper Gerhard Heinze by coach Branko Zebec on the 22nd matchday in the 3-13 away defeat against Werder Bremen in the 3rd minute . The VfB Junior was nominally number 4 behind Heinze, his replacement Hans Hauser and Senior Günter Sawitzki (he played in the amateur team). Jopp was behind the defensive chain in Bremen with Hans Eisele , Willi Entenmann , Reinhold Zech and Hans Arnold . After his junior years he moved to the amateur team of the club, with which he competed in the 1st amateur league North Württemberg. For the 1971/72 season, VfB signed Zlatko Škorić, a Yugoslav select goalkeeper from Ljubljana, to compete with Gerhard Heinze and Jopp did not make any further Bundesliga use. The following year, 1972/73, a youth national goalkeeper, Helmut Roleder , moved up from the youth , whom he represented at the game on October 21, 1972 at Kickers Offenbach. Jopp came on in the 26th minute for the injured Roleder in a 3-1 away win on the Bieberer Berg. In later years, Jopp also made appearances in the DFB Cup with the Baden SV Neckargerach : In the first main round on August 29, 1981, he and his teammates prevailed 4-2 in a home game against the Würzburger Kickers The main round was the away game on October 9, 1981 at Bayern Munich. In addition to teammates like Gerd Schwickert and Walter Plaggemeyer , he kept the level of Bavarian success within a manageable limit against FCB attackers like Paul Breitner , Dieter Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in the 1: 5 defeat.
