Reinhold Zech (born May 27, 1948 in Stuttgart ) is a former German soccer player . He came to 254 Bundesliga games and scored five goals.

career

In 1963 Reinhold Zech came from SV Rot to the youth department of VfB Stuttgart. About the amateur team - 1. Amateur League North Württemberg - he made the leap into the professional team. Zech made his debut for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga towards the end of the season 1968/69 when the defender was in the starting line-up in the 1: 2 away defeat against Kickers Offenbach on May 17, 1969. In the following season he established himself as a regular in the defense and came on October 11, 1969 to his goal debut in the first division. In the 2-1 win against Hannover 96 in the Neckar Stadium , he scored the goal to make it 1-0. On October 14, 1971 Zech completed an international match in the junior national team U 23 in Leicester against England. The game was lost with 1: 3 goals for the DFB-Elf. Together with goalkeeper Jürgen Rynio and the defenders Michael Bella , Helmut Kremers and Rolf Rüssmann , he formed the defense. He remained loyal to the club until the Swabians were relegated from the German elite series in 1975 and had trained under coaches Gunther Baumann , Franz Seybold , Branko Zebec , Hermann Eppenhoff and Albert Sing .

The first games in the European Cup played Zech in the 1969/70 season on September 17 and October 1, 1969 in the Messe Cup against Malmö FF. While still led Gilbert Gress Director in mid-Schwaben.
