The Boeri River is a river on the west coast of Dominica in the parishes of Saint Paul and Saint George . Contrary to the name, there is no tributary to the Boeri River from Boeri Lake .

geography

The Boeri River rises with numerous headwaters on the western slope of the Morne Trois Pitons in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park in the center of Roseau ( 960  m , 930  m ). At the transition from the plateau to the valley, the main source river forms the Middleham Falls ( Providence Estate ). Shortly thereafter, the source streams flow together and the river forms its middle course on the descent into the lowlands. Then it receives inflow from the left and east through the Providence River . At Stewart Hall Estate ( Cochrane ) it receives further inflow from the Mayette Spring sulfur spring and from the north and right come from the Morne Cabrits Marons (Cochrane) numerous other small tributaries. The river initially runs generally to the southwest, but turns to the west at Montpellier / Knowsley Park Estate and to the northwest after the mountain spur of Knowsley Park, where it flows in a winding course in its lower reaches to Canefield and there it flows into the Caribbean Sea .

In the lower reaches the river runs partially parallel to the Ravine Coque in the south in the upper reaches the river runs near the catchment area of the Roseau . The catchment area of Ravine Newland joins to the north and the source streams arise near the rivers Check Hall River and Belfast River , whose catchments otherwise extend further north.
