Bogusław Samol (born February 26, 1959 in Kraśnik Fabryczny ) is a Polish military with the rank of lieutenant general .

Life

In 1982 he finished the Wyższa Szkoła Oficerska Wojsk Pancernych (Higher Officers School of the Armored Force) in Poznań . From 1982 to 1985 he was platoon leader in the 23rd Pułk Czołgów (Panzer Regiment) in Słubice . In 1985 he attended an officer training center in Warsaw. From 1985 to 1986 he was deputy commander and from 1986 to 1989 finally commander of a battalion of the 23rd Pułk Czołgów. From 1989 to 1992 he attended the Malinovsky Military Academy of Armored Forces in Moscow .

In 1992 he was first commander of a tank battalion of the 42nd Pułk Zmechanizowany ( Mechanized Infantry Regiment ) in Żary , then commander of an infantry battalion of the 29th Pułk Zmechanizowany in Żagań , and finally until 1994 deputy commander of the 42nd Pułk Zmechanizowany. From 1994 to 1995 he was deputy commander of the 29th Pułk Zmechanizowany. In 1995 and 1997 he attended the Academy of National Defense in Warsaw. From 1995 to 1996 he was deputy commander of the 11th Mechanized Brigade in Żary and then until 1998 commander of the 13th Pułk Zmechanizowany in Kożuchów .

In 1998 he took postgraduate studies in law and administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. From 1998 to 2004 he was the commander of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów . In 2004 he attended the NATO Defense College in Rome . From 2004 to 2005 he was Deputy Head of Department P2 in the Polish General Staff . From 2005 to 2006 he was a reserve squad at the Polish Ministry of Defense . In 2006 he attended the National Defense University in Washington, DC From 2007 to 2009 he was Head of Division P8 in the Polish General Staff.

From 2009 to 2011 he commanded the 16th Mechanized Division in Elbląg . At the same time he was deputy head of the material procurement department at the ISAF headquarters in Kabul from 2010 to 2011 . From 2011 to 2012 he worked in the command center of the Polish Armed Forces in Warsaw. In 2012 he was first deputy commander of the Multinational Corps North-East in Stettin and then, as the successor to Rainer Korff, its commander until 2015. In 2016 and 2017 he was an advisor in the Polish Ministry of Defense.
