Bolívar Soloists
The Bolivar Soloists are a Venezuelan ensemble for chamber music . It bears the name of Simón Bolívar .

Grew up in the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Juventud Venezolana Simón Bolívar , the Bolívar Soloists studied classical music at European music academies . Her repertoire combines Latin American music with music from Europe. When they made a concert tour through Mexico with Rolando Villazón in 2011 , they delighted 9,000 people in the Auditorio Nacional . They had further appearances at the Festival Internacional Cervantino (2012), in the Wiener Konzerthaus , in the Berlin Philharmonie , in the Gasteig , in the Royal Festival Hall and in the Salle Pleyel . They played in the Eberbach Monastery (at the Rheingau Music Festival ) and in St. Stephani (Bremen) . At the 2016 Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival , they performed with Matthias Schorn and Pacho Flores in the Dargun monastery church and in the Mestlin cultural center . This was followed by a concert at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art .
The current core of the line- up consists of flute ( Efrain Oscher ) and string quintet (Alejandro Carrillo, Timothy Summers, Luis Cordero Jr., Matias de Oliveira Pinto and Johane Gonzáles). The ensemble is open to guest players with wind instruments (oboe, clarinet), keyboard instruments (harpsichord, piano, bandoneon) or cuatro .
