The Bolshoi Patom ( Russian Большо́й Па́том ; Great Patom ) is a right tributary of the Lena in the Irkutsk Oblast in eastern Siberia .
The Bolshoi Patom has its source in the Patom highlands . It flows in a wide arc - first to the west, then to the north and finally to the east. The Bolshoi Patom joins the Lena southeast of Lensk . It has a length of 570 km. Its catchment area covers 28,400 km². The river is ice-covered between October and May.
