Boat rental or boat rental are companies that rent out boats of all kinds for a fee .

Boat rental companies rent out sailing boats , yachts and motor boats , jet skis (personal watercraft), rowing boats , pedal boats and electric boats , paddle boats (kayaks, canoes) and inflatables (rafting boats) and more. The rental characteristics naturally range from coastal waters to larger lakes to wild rivers , and from hourly rental for small excursions to bathing lakes to day tours and trips lasting several weeks . The aim of boat rental is that one person rents a watercraft so that they can drive it themselves. Lenders require that the tenant - if necessary - has a certificate of competence to operate the ship or has the authorizations for the area. This proof is usually required for insurance reasons even if the legislature does not explicitly require it (as with sailing boats without a motor or white water boats).
