Bora Körk (born June 9, 1980 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper .
Career
societies
Bora Körk started club football in the youth of Göztepe Izmir , where he received a professional contract for the 2003/04 season and became the second goalkeeper of the professional team. While he was not used in his first season, he came to four league appearances in his second season. The following two seasons he was part of the goalkeeper.
From the 2004/05 season he played three seasons at Malatyaspor and moved to the 2007/08 season for the second division Sakaryaspor .
In the 2007/08 season he moved to the Süper Lig club MKE Ankaragücü . Here he played three and a half seasons as a substitute goalkeeper and made eleven league appearances. During the winter break of 2011/12, his club got into a financially disastrous situation and was unable to pay the players' salaries for several months. As a result, many players sued in court and were released. Bora Körk was among the exempted players.
During the winter break, Bora Körk then moved to league competitor Kardemir Karabükspor . After his move, he could not prevail over the goalkeeper Vjekoslav Tomić and replace him in seven games. In the next season, Körk took over the goal from Tomić in phases and stood in this in a total of 15 competitive games. After Karabükspor had signed the Dutch goalkeeper Boy Waterman in the summer of 2013 , he was used as a regular goalkeeper in all 34 league games by head coach Tolunay Kafkas . Körk was only used in the cup games. In the summer of 2014, Körk's contract expired and was not extended by Karabükspor.
In the summer of 2014 he moved to the second division club Şanlıurfaspor . After just one season he moved back to the Süper Lig for the west Turkish representative AkhisarsporyAkhisar Belediyespor . He was part of the team that achieved the most important successes in the club's history by winning the Turkish Cup in the 2017/18 season , the Turkish Supercup 2018 and taking part in the Cup finals in 2018/19 .
National team
2003 Körk was once in the squad of the second selection of the Turkish national team , the A2 national team, and remained in this nomination without commitment.
