Boy Pablo (proper spelling: boy pablo ) is a Norwegian Dream-Pop - band of mountains, led by singer-songwriter Nicolas Pablo Muñoz.

history

Muñoz, whose parents are of Chilean origin, grew up in mountains. He attended Kongshaug Musikkgymnas Secondary School , a private music school near Os . He founded the Boy Pablo project in December 2015 and first attracted attention in Norway in 2016. As a result, he received a scholarship from the Norwegian blues - and Americana - Festival Mountain Festival .

The group made their breakthrough in 2017 with their music video for Everytime . After it was published on YouTube in May 2017, this only had a few thousand views. The video later went viral and has had over 22 million views to date.

Boy Pablo released the EP Roy Pablo in May 2017 , which also includes Everytime . The single Losing You was released in March 2018 . The first shows outside of Norway followed and a tour through Europe . Although Muñoz mainly records and produces all his music by himself, he plays in his live band with former schoolmates.

The band toured the United States and Canada in July 2018 . In the same year she was awarded the Spellemann Prize in the New Discovery of the Year category .

In November 2018 Boy Pablo toured South-East Asia. In 2019 the band performed at the Coachella Festival .
