history

The group Boys From Brazil were founded in 1987 by Cornelius Alexander Bauer and Jörg W. Büsing (alias Jerome des Arts). They borrowed their band name from the American thriller The Boys from Brazil from 1978 with Gregory Peck and Laurence Olivier . The first work of the formation from 1987 We Don't Need No World War III was placed as an independent production at number 2 of the DJ Top 40 charts for six weeks. The follow-up Hot Stuff (a cover version of the Donna Summer classic) was originally supposed to be sung by a woman, but in the end it was decided on the singer Thomas Krause. The title Hot Stuff evolved in 1989 into a disco - Hit . The song was placed in the DJ Top 40 in Germany for 15 weeks (highest rating: 6th place) and climbed into the Top 10 in the Billboard Dance Charts Dance / Electronic Songs a short time later as a US release on the Vendetta label .

Without Cornelius Alexander Bauer (who left the band in 1989 because of his own projects) the work Perfect appeared , which was presented by the Boys From Brazil in episode 242 of the Formula One music show on April 15, 1989, moderated by Kai Böcking . The CD was produced by Axel Henninger for the Ariola label . The Boys From Brazil recorded more tracks for a planned album, which the record company did not later realize.

Axel Henninger played with the Moskwa TV formation and later produced the German pop group Camouflage, among others .

In addition to Boys From Brazil, Jörg W. Büsing was also involved in other projects such as JWB (Hits The Beat) and Society of Silence, only to devote himself to the composition and production of tracks for Oh Well and Deborah Sasson. With the project Mc Wastl he published his last production for the label Westsidemusic in 1991.

Boys From Brazil's songs have also appeared on other compilations such as the LP Best Beats From Westside 3 , the CD Muvi presents Super Disco Night Hits On Top or the sampler A Tribute To Westside Records .
