Bradley Austin Chubb (* 24. June 1996 in Marietta , Georgia ) is an American American football poker players on the position of Outside linebackers . He currently plays for the Denver Broncos in the NFL .

college

Bradley Chubb played American football at North Carolina State University (NCSU) for four years, 2014-2017. Having only played 2 games in his first year, Chubb played 13 games in his sophomore year in college, scoring 5 sacks and 66 tackles for his team. He also caught an interception . Chubb made his breakthrough at North Carolina in his last two years, posting 10 sacks each for his team. He also had over 20 tackles each, which led to the loss of space for the opponent. For his achievements in his senior year at college, Chubb has received several awards, including the Bronko Nagurski Trophy , which is awarded annually to the best defender of the NCAA . The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is the equivalent of the Heisman Trophy , which is awarded almost exclusively to offensive players. Chubb broke the NCSU records for most sacks and most tackles for loss of space, replacing Mario Williams as the record holder at the NCSU.

Bradley Chubb was selected 5th in the first round by the Denver Broncos in the 2018 NFL Draft , making him the second defender to be picked in this draft after Denzel Ward . He signed a four-year contract for 27.27 million at the Broncos dollars . Chubb made his NFL debut in the first week of the 2018 season playing against the Seattle Seahawks . After only scoring 1.5 sacks in the first 5 games, Chubb made his breakthrough in his sixth game against the Los Angeles Rams , scoring 3 sacks. In week 14, Chubb set a new record for the Broncos. With his 12th sack in his first season, he is now the player with the most sacks in the Broncos rookie season, overtaking Von Miller and Rulon Jones, who each recorded 11.5 sacks in their rookie season.

In his second season, he tore a cruciate ligament on the fourth day of the game, causing him to be out for the rest of the season.

His brother Brandon Chubb is also a football player and was in the squad of several NFL teams, but was not used in the league. Bradley Chubb's cousin Nick Chubb ( RB ) was also selected in the 2018 NFL Draft. Nick Chubb was selected 35th by the Cleveland Browns .
