Brain Prize

The Brain Prize is a science prize that has been awarded by the Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Foundation , based in Copenhagen , since 2011 .

The prize is endowed with one million euros . It is awarded to one or more scientists who have made outstanding contributions to European neuroscience . There are no special requirements for the award winners in terms of employment or formal retirement , but it is expected that they will be able to continue their research for another decade.
