"Brandenburg heads" are the boxers Henry Maske , Axel Schulz and Manfred Wolke . But also great minds like Albert Einstein and Wilhelm von Humboldt or powerful people of yore like Albrecht I (Albrecht the Bear), Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg (the “Great Elector”), Friedrich II. (The “Old Fritz”) and Queen Luise . Angela Merkel , Manfred Stolpe and other ministers from then and now are part of the “Brandenburg heads”, as are writers - from Gerhart Hauptmann and Günter de Bruyn to Juli Zeh . Also the acting sisters Anja Kling and Gerit Kling , the "Tatort" commissioners Jörg Hartmann and Fabian Hinrichs , the directors Andreas Dresen and Volker Schlöndorff , the model Franziska Knuppe and her discoverer fashion designer Wolfgang Joop , the TV presenter Günther Jauch , countertenor Jochen Kowalski and SAP founder Hasso Plattner are “Brandenburgers”. The voices of the performers of “Pack the bathing trousers” ( Cornelia Froboess ) and “Ein Bett im Kornfeld” ( Jürgen Drews ) were also heard first in the Mark.

Suggestions come from the population, from associations and institutions. But media reports also provide suggestions for research. The website provides up-to-date information on the activities of the “Brandenburg heads”, their social commitment, sporting and artistic successes and campaigns around these personalities, and reports are also published in a quarterly newsletter.
