Brazen Abbot is a hard rock band from Mariehamn , Finland .

history

The band was originally founded in 1994 as a pure studio project by bandleader , guitarist and composer Nikolo Kotzev (formerly Baltimore ), but has since performed quite a few live performances.

For the first album only one singer, Göran Edman (ex- Yngwie Malmsteen , Glory) was actually planned. Due to scheduling problems, Göran was only available for two of the tracks on the album. Therefore Glenn Hughes (ex- Deep Purple , ex- Trapeze ) was signed, but he only had time for three of the songs. Therefore, Tomas Vikström (ex- Candlemass ) was engaged as the third singer on the debut , who recorded the rest of the songs on the live-and-learn album.

The constellation with three or more singers turned out to be very successful and therefore became the trademark of Brazen Abbot. On most of the albums Göran Edman and Joe Lynn Turner (ex- Rainbow , ex-Deep Purple) sing along with various other singers. When performing live, however, Joe Lynn Turner is usually the only singer.

Mic Michaeli , John Levén and Ian Haugland , all members of the famous band Europe , played at Brazen Abbot before Europe reunited in 2004.
