The Weinbergerhaus is a privately operated refuge at an altitude of 1272 meters in the Kaiser Mountains , on the summit of the Stadtberg above Kufstein , in the Tyrolean Lower Inn Valley .

location

The Weinbergerhaus is located on the Brentenjoch in the Kaisergebirge nature reserve . Due to its location, the Schützhütte was formerly called the Brentenjoch Hut . To the west you look down into the Inn valley to Kufstein and Kiefersfelden and in the north you can see Rosenheim when the air is clear. East of the Weinbergerhaus is the Gamskogel ( 1449  m ) and a hilly alpine pasture with dairy cows in summer. In the south, the rugged cliffs of the Wilder Kaiser impress with their play of light (especially at sunrise and sunset).

Approaches

  • with the Kaiser lift to the mountain station on the Brentenjoch (only 1 May to 31 October) and a ten-minute hike
  • from Kufstein- Sparchen ( 501  m ) via the Duxeralm and Adlerweg in 1½ hours
  • from the Josef Madersperger monument (Kienbach) over the Elfenhain ( Steig ) to the Duxeralm and further over the Schneerosenweg (Steig) and the Panoramaweg in 2½ hours
  • from the center of Kufstein and Mitterndorf via the Berghaus Aschenbrenner and the Panoramaweg in 2½ hours

Transitions

  • via the Adlerweg to the Kaindlhütte (easy, 1 hour)
  • via Gamskogel ( 1449  m ) to the Kaindlhütte (climb, 1½ hours)
  • via the Bettlersteig to the Anton-Karg-Haus (Hinterbärenbad) in the Kaisertal (2½ hours)

From the Kaindlhütte or the Anton-Karg-Haus, the tours can be extended to rewarding round or multi-day tours (of all levels of difficulty).

Summer sports

  • The Weinbergerhaus can be reached by mountain bike from Kufstein-Mitterndorf on two paths via Berghaus Aschenbrenner and Duxeralm. This results in a round tour that can be extended with a detour to the Kaindlhütte.
  • The same paths are used by mountain runners .
  • It is also possible to start with a paraglider from the Weinbergerhaus .

Winter sports

  • Tobogganing over Brentenjoch to the Duxeralm. From there via Waldkapelle to Mitterndorf or via the ski slope to Hinterduxer Hof and then via the toboggan run to Sparchen.
  • An unprepared, avalanche-safe ski slope leads down from the Weinbergerhaus to the parking lot of the Kaiserlift, which is also used for touring skis .
