Endach is a village in the Tyrolean Lower Inn Valley , and a district and locality of Kufstein . It is in the south of the borough.

geography

Since the district is separated from the rest of the city by the Weißache , centuries ago people said “enter der Ache” ( Bavarian enter , “behind, over there”), which slowly changed to the name Endach.

The district can be divided into:

  • Endach - the old village center
  • Upper roof
  • Weidach - as the only part on the other side of the Ache

history

The district is mainly characterized by the dense residential building (row houses, high-rise buildings). In the eastern, higher part, there are single-family houses and the South Business Park . Many commercial and shopping centers have been built along the Salurner Strasse development axis in recent years .

In Endach there are facilities such as the general public district hospital Kufstein , the Kufstein branch of Lebenshilfe Tirol , Austria's largest biomass cogeneration plant in 2004 and the newly built recycling center next door .

traffic

City bus routes 1 and 2 as well as several regional bus routes go to Endach. The construction of the ÖBB stop Kufstein Süd was planned for 2012 . The Tiroler Straße B 171 and the Eiberg Straße B 173 lead through or begin in the district, and the Kufstein Süd motorway exit of the Inntal motorway A 12 is in Endach.
